How to use squeevio
Getting started
Download the app
Install squeevio on your device:
- Android — Google Play or APK from the website.
- iPhone / iPad — App Store (search “squeevio”).
- Mac — Mac App Store or .dmg file.
- Windows — installer .exe from the website.
- Web panel — no install needed, open in any browser: squeevio.com/dashboard.
Create an account
Open the app and tap Sign up. You can use an email address or sign in with Google.
One account works on all your devices — your filtering settings sync automatically.
Enable filtering
In the app go to Content Filtering. You will see a list of categories: adult content, gambling, social media, crypto, and more.
- Toggle the categories you want to block.
- Add specific domains to the Blacklist (always blocked).
- Or to the Whitelist (always allowed, e.g. your bank).
After saving, the app downloads a signed policy from the server and activates filtering immediately.
Add a partner (optional)
A partner is a person who helps you keep your decision. You can invite a spouse, therapist, or mentor.
Go to Partners and generate a pairing code — your partner enters it in their app. After pairing:
- Removing blocks requires partner approval.
- The partner can remotely unlock your profile for 5 minutes (emergency window).
- The partner does NOT see your browsing history.
Tools in the moment of urge
When the filter blocks a page, on Android an intervention screen appears with tools for the difficult moment:
- Your goal — a reminder of the decision you made when calm.
- Breathing — 4-7-8 or box breathing to slow stress.
- Grounding — the 5-4-3-2-1 technique engaging your senses.
- Talk to partner — voice call encrypted in transit, never recorded.
- Specialist — contact a verified psychologist or therapist.
Customize settings
In the app you can adjust:
- Appearance — color theme, home screen layout.
- Notifications — reminders, partner notifications.
- VPN — list of excluded apps (e.g. banking app).
- Language — 9 languages (PL, EN, DE, ES, FR, AR, UK, RU, ZH).
- Subscription — free or premium plan (€4.99/mo or €39.99/yr).
Managing filtering
How do I add a site to the blacklist?
Content Filtering → Blacklist → Add domain. Enter e.g. instagram.com — the block takes effect immediately.
How do I add a site to the whitelist?
Content Filtering → Whitelist → Add domain. The site will pass through even if its category is blocked.
How do I report a missing site?
Filtering → Report missing site. Choose the domain and category. After community votes are collected, the domain is added to the official block list.
Partner & security
How do I generate a pairing code?
Partners → Generate pairing code. The code is valid for 10 minutes. Your partner enters it in their app under Partners → Become a partner.
How do I remove a partner?
Partners → select partner → Remove. Note: after removing a partner, you can modify blocks yourself.
How do I send an unlock request to my partner?
From the intervention screen (after trying to open a blocked site) → Send request to partner. The partner gets a notification and can approve a 5-minute window.
Account & devices
How do I sync settings to a new device?
Install the app and log in with the same account. Filtering and blacklist sync automatically within seconds.
How do I change my password?
Web panel → Settings → Change password. You can also use the password reset link on the login page.
How do I delete my account?
Email privacy@squeevio.com with the subject “Delete my account” from the address associated with your account. This is irreversible and removes all your data. See the Data Deletion page for details.
