What this directory is

A list of professionals who work with the things this app is used for: compulsive use of online content, attention and habit problems, and the relationship damage that often comes with them. It exists because software is not the answer to everything — a filter changes what is reachable, not what is driving the reaching.

Entries are reviewed before they appear. We check that the person is who they say they are, that the stated qualification exists, and that the contact details work. We do not endorse a method or guarantee an outcome. Enquiries go straight to the practitioner, and we take no cut of what they charge — there is no booking or payment flow in between.

Who is listed

Psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, addiction specialists, mentors and coaches, spiritual directors, dietitians, physiotherapists and financial advisers. Filters cover role, country, city, language and whether they work remotely or in person.

How to choose, if you have never done this

  • — Modality matters less than fit. CBT, ACT, psychodynamic and systemic approaches all have evidence behind them for this family of problems; the strongest single predictor of whether therapy helps is whether you can be honest with that particular person.
  • — Ask about experience with compulsive online behaviour specifically. It is not the same work as general anxiety, and someone who has not met it before will be learning on your time.
  • — A first meeting is allowed to be a test. Two or three sessions is a reasonable amount to decide whether to continue.
  • — If cost is the obstacle, say so in the first message. Sliding scales are common and rarely advertised.

The directory is still being built

It is open for registrations and has no public entries yet, which we would rather say than pretend otherwise. If you are a professional working in this area, you can add yourself — listing is free while the directory is being built. If you are looking for help right now, do not wait for this page: your GP, a national helpline, or a local clinic are faster routes, and a specialist you already trust is a better one.
